About the polarization of information

Kimmo Huosionmaa The mission of journalists is to share and route the information about the things, what is done. And this is the problem with journalism. In a normal situation, journalists are working for some media house, what must earn its funding by selling the product. This causes the situation, that there is so much negative news in the media. Information polarization means, that there are very much stories and data, but the data is filtered that it shows only one side of the thing. That causes the thing, that there is only one aspect, what is underlined in those stories, what gives the very dramatized view for something, what is happened. Negative news sells better than positive and glad news. When we are looking for news, we are facing many stories about violence, and the reason, why that news is increasing the sale of the newspaper or news is, that people are worried about the people, who they know, and who might be harmed in those cases.
