Why it's so hard to fight against mass myths?

Mass myths are falsified information that is well-known to the entire society. But mass myths are always falsified or false information that is believed to be true. The common thing about mass myths is that people handle them like absolute truth. 

So mass myths are dangerous to society. But the problem is that critical comments against mass myths might cause bad feedback. The bad feedback causes social pressure on people to keep their mouths shut. They don't react to claims and lies. They just see those things. And they don't want to say a word about those things that might be wrong. 

Mass myths are driven by arguments "everything was like that in the past". And things like respect for the elder generations make it very hard to speak against those very well-known myths. So people accept the lie as the "official truth" if they don't dare to say something against those things. 

Because nobody says anything against mass myths the persons who are delivering those things see that silence as acceptance. Things like lies and mass myths are the same things. And propaganda is a mass myth made to serve some political purpose. 

When we are talking about truth and lies the myth that is not true is the same way false information as lies that are told on purpose. But then we must realize that all urban myths are not lies or fake. They might overstate. And stories about things like werewolves are born from real things like rabies infections. 

Kennedy's assassination is one of the cases where people just want to believe something. They don't think that all people in that car in Dallas in 1963 were problematic to Mafia. And maybe Mafia planned to shoot Jacqueline Kennedy or Governor Connally. We just want to believe that the real target was John F. Kennedy. But the fact is that nobody knows the real target. 

The thing that feeds theories is that all three brothers of the family of Joseph Kennedy Sr. died violently. His eldest son Joseph Junior died in a possible accident in 1944. And both younger brothers died in attentates. 

The planned target could be some secret service agent. There is a possibility that some of those agents knew things like Mafia contacts between John F. Kennedy's father and organized crime. The fact is that the elder brother of JFK was killed in the accident. 

He planned to rise the kamikaze-version of the B-24 Liberator to airborne. But then there was some mistake in the barometer or handling of the aircraft. And 9000 kilogram of the RDX turned the big brother of the JFK to atoms. That thing might be an accident. Also, Robert Kennedy was killed in an assassination made by Sirhan Sirhan. 

Theories of the Kennedy assassination and Olof Palme's murders were a similar way to see things. People didn't want to believe that the statesman's wife was the planned victim. So the focus was on the statesman. 

Jacqueline Kennedy had a relationship with Onassis. And that thing caused problems for people, who wanted to hide things that happened behind coulisses of Kennedy's clan. 

The nickname of John F. Kennedy was "Jack" so the shooter might think that "Jack" (that could be the nickname of Jacqueline) means president. In that case, the mafia killed Oswald, because they didn't want the officials to know things like the names of the people who are involved in the JFK case. 

We want to believe that the top actor is the planned target. We don't want to believe that target was somebody else. 

Olof Palme's wife was a psychiatrist and that kind of profession brings enemies to people. So could the real target be Lisbet Palme, the wife of the prime minister of Sweden? 

There were fewer than ten actors. In the original conspiracy theory about Kennedy's assassination. 

But then that theory started to grow. And finally, there were over 30 000 participants in that thing. There are two investigation reports where another claims that Oswald acted alone. And the second report claims that some kind of "conspiracy to commit" the crime is hidden in the investigation. We don't even know who was the real target. 

Those reports are known as Warren's commission reports. And the second one was the Senate investigation report, made ten years later. The question is: did somebody pay or order Oswald to make that murder?  

Was it President Kennedy, his wife, or governor Connally? There are theories that Mafia wanted that Jaqueline Kennedy died because she wanted to divorce the president. And Kennedy's clan had relationships with Mafia. 

Or maybe Mafia wanted to murder Governor Connally because he caused problems for that organization. Another purpose for that thing could be to send a message that nobody is safe from organized crime. But then the shooter misunderstood his mission, and that caused the catastrophe. 

Willing to believe is the thing that destroys all investigations. Many urban legends or mass theories can debunk by telling a couple of jokes. And then that thing can cause a situation that makes criminals slip away. 

There are many stories in newspapers where the police are told to make arrests in some criminal cases. And then those suspects are believed to be guilty. But then those suspects are released in court or the police themselves released them.  Because there is no evidence. And all suspects are gone. The stories that are telling that crime is solved might cause some eyewitnesses would not even report to the police what they saw.

Saint  Valentine's day massacre in 1929 is one of the most well known criminal activities in the history.  And the thing, what makes it very interesting, is that nobody ever convicted about that crime. There are many theories about this case, what is very well known incident, what happened in 1929, and the ordered of that attack is presumed to be Al Capone, who wanted to punish the "Bugs" Moran, who came in his area. There were seven victims, and the persons, who claimed to be guilty were well-known criminals.  The thing, what makes this case so creepy, is that every suspect was dead until 1935. One victim of the shooting said at the hospital before he was dead that "no one shot me".  Maybe he knew some shooter and thought that this man was some little gangster in the Chicago until the bullets were hit him. 

Or maybe some shooter was hiding behind some garbage cans or fire stairs, and that man shot this person, Peter Gusenberg, who was the right hand of the Moran. I don't know was there on that street fire stairs, but maybe the shooter was in dead angle, or he couldn't see that person. Maybe Moran told Capone, that his henchmen were working for him. Who knows anything about those persons complicated mind, and we must remember, that treachery is always near in those people's life. 

And there could be somebody else than Capone behind that crime because those gangsters who were suspected about that crime were well-known and experienced gunmen. That means that this shooting could be ordered from those gunmen. Sometimes is claimed, that Moran himself killed those men, by claiming that he was working for Mafia, and the reason would be that those men tried to murder him, but normally people believe that the order was given by Al Capone. 

The case is so complicated to write in Wikipedia is very interesting, but the complicated story and the main question is, how the Moran or somebody else got the names of the shooters, and that was the really bad thing. In stories, Capone killed his gunman, John Scalise, Albert Anselmi and Joseph Giunta and the reason was claimed that this man tried to murder Capone. But in fact, the reason for the murder could charge what Scalise got about the Saint Valentine's day massacre. The man who was behind this case was Capone, but did that man made that for somebody else. When we are thinking deeply about this case, somebody might give Capone the information, that his henchmen were tried to murder him. But the thing feels more complicated. 

Capone is claimed to beat them to death by the baseball bat, and the bodies were found in Indiana. Maybe those injuries have made for destroying the outfit and recognition marks of those men. But Capone might be got in the anger, and that makes this person very dangerous because this man couldn't control himself. The reason why this story feels quite suspicious is that those men were identified in the massacre, and as you might know, that is the thing, what Mafia would not tolerate. Capone was a very young man and many people believe, that he was not the real boss of his gang, and the reason for that is, this man had syphilis, what causes mental disorders. 

Maybe Capone was working for Mafia, but he was only the caporegime, the leader of the gunmen and enforcers of that organization. And in sometimes somebody has wondered how he knew about Valentine's day massacre victims relationship with Moran? Sometimes was claimed, that Moran himself was behind those murders because those men knew too much. When we are thinking about the evidence about that crime, the two Thomson-sub machine guns were found in the home search, and they were identified as the murder weapons, but the counselors would claim that those guns were taken to that house, where they were found. 

When we are returning the case, where Capone killed his henchmen, somebody says, that Capone or some other man got the information of the attempt to murder this gangster king from the police or FBI. There is one thing, what supports those claiming is that those three men were experienced and notorious killers. The thing what made the last two men survive was probably, that witnesses would not see them in the shooting place, and they could claim, that those other men were forced them to drive.  And probably they didn't see the shooting, and that's why they couldn't testify against them. Agent provocateurs are suitable actors when somebody wants to justify the use of force against some groups. Those provocateurs are professional rioters, who are throwing the rocks and Molotov cocktails against the police, and after that, the riot control team has free hands to use the power against those demonstrators. In some cases, those provocateurs are claimed to burn cars or broke windows during demonstrations, and that would justify the police actions against the people.


In some cases, the journalists, who have written books about mafia and some other criminal organizations have faced the things, that their cars have been pushed by other vehicles or their garbage have not taken away. In those cases that a person has faced the psychic violence, where each work, what is ordered have been done only after the reclamations. And that thing causes very bad stress for people, who are facing that kind of things. In Italy, those journalists have faced the thing, that their parking lot has been filled with garbage, and that kind of things are disgusting.


When we are thinking about the demonstrations against the Bank of World and the G-12 meetings, the demonstrations have many times turned to violent riots, and that thing is very sad because people have the right to protest. In some cases, there have been claimed that the demonstrations were manned with professional provocateurs, who would start to throw the petrol bombs against police, and the reason for those claiming is mentioned that the demonstrations wanted to crush, because somebody doesn't like those people.


Somebody suspect that behind those actions is some security services, what want to demonstrate, that the demonstrations would be crushed also in the western nations. Or the actor would be some private security corporation, what will want to cause fear in the mind of those persons, who take the part of the meeting. That would make rational thinking very difficult, and also riots make those meetings very unpopular for cities, what is hosting them.


Sometimes is claimed that the terrorism in the 1970's has caused by provocations, what were made the mercenaries, who worked for some multinational corporations. The international terrorism caused very much problems for socialists, and that's the reason, why those attacks, what is claimed to made by RAF (Rote Armeé Fraction). That kind of terrorism justified the massive police actions against the left-wing radicals. And when we are thinking about the political field where the IRA operated, the reason for underline the socialistic ideology could be caused by the weapons, what the leaders of that group wanted to get from the Eastern Block.


When we are remembering the bomb strike against Margaret Thatcher, the prime minister of Great Britain. The person behind this bomb strike made very bad service for IRA, and sometimes there are rumors that behind that strike were Loyalists, who wanted that British army would be more active in Northern Ireland. The Loyalist is the world, what some Protestant's groups like UVF (Ulster Volunteer Fighters) used about themselves, for underlining the friendship for the British government.


And that would give the picture, that those groups are supported by the British government. But in the real life, those loyalists organizations are also classified as terrorists, and I sometimes wonder, why they are not mentioned so often in the situation in Northern Ireland. Many of the groups, what operates in Northern Ireland have very mighty names, but in the real world, those groups might have only about 20 members, and that makes them dangerous.


Some of those groups would be ordinary criminals or mercenaries, who would make strikes for money, and in those cases, they would play the IRA or UVF members. And the targets for those attacks might be some drug dealers, who would not pay the "protection money" for those men. And of course, real IRA and UVF have sold contract killings for criminals, because that would get money for their actions. Maybe there are men who are still believing in terrorism, but as we might see, anybody could write those letters to the wall after shooting somebody.

When people are facing the threat, what comes from foreign countries, that would allow keeping different opinions out of the sight. The national homogenizing is necessary to create the censorship and eliminating political opposition. This methodology is used sometimes to eliminate harmful writings what are targeted the persons, who are the rulers of the nation. The hiding behind the rulers and other bosses is a very good method, and sometimes the persons, who are involved with criminal activities are playing some kind of official role, and in the name of the eyewitnesses are send the "fan letters" to the national leaders.


And of course, this same methodology is used in the news, where the witnesses of some criminal activities are treated, that something would happen if the writings against some criminal organizations are continuing. In that kind news, the criminal organization would be claimed to get support from the head of some powerful states. Sometimes the reporters, who are involved in the criminal activities claim, that they have personal information about the leaders of the police or intelligence. That would be translated, that the reporter can send that information to some gangsters.


Sometimes the Mafia or other organized crime members have claimed, that they are hunted by political reasons, but even they were political refugees, those persons have sometimes got their money from drug trafficking. In 1990's members of Mafia realized that giving profits for reporters were more effective than paying that money to police. The profiting police in the western world is normally a crime. But paying that money to reporters is legal, and by using newspapers the Mafia could claim, that it members are arrested for political reasons.

This was used mainly in South America, where the governments are normally quite weak, and the drug cartels are paying equipment both sides the governmental and guerrilla warriors, to make the civil wars continue forever. Bad civil rights are feeding the willing to leave to the jungle to fight, and the weapons and other equipment, what those guerrillas use are paid by drug mafia.


And otherwise, the same persons are paying money to government's paramilitary troops for giving effectiveness in their action, and nothing would deny the cartel working in two countries, what sometimes cross-train the guerrillas, who work in the opposite territory, and that would serve the interests of cartels because the guerrillas would make the eyes turn away from the drug business. Sometimes the drug-lords would use the guerrillas as the personal bodyguards and private armies in the bloody race about areas, where they can grow Coca-bushes. The cartels of Medellin or Cali are not only drug cartels in the world.


Those persons are responsible for drug production, but the real bosses are persons, who are washing the drug money, that it can put to the bank accounts. And that money is used to pay for the holidays of the guerrillas, in some country, where those persons are not known and also in the gunmen groups are hiding agents of Mafia, whose mission is to eliminate the leaders of the Cartels, if they would get prosecutions. The relationship between Mafia and Cartels is very well known. The Cartel sells drugs and Mafia washes that money, and if the men, who wash money for Cartel are uncovered, there would be very big troubles in their lives. And the Cartel is claiming, that they are working for ordinary people.
