Do woods and other vegetables communicate with each other through underground fungi?

When we talk about the communication between vegetables, fungi, and animals, we must realize that many times. Many things are oversimplified. We know that animals eat vegetables. But we forget that some vegetables eat animals. Some good-looking berries and fruits involve deadly poisons. 

The purpose of those poisons is to protect the vegetable. But if somebody eats those things that animal dies. That thing brings more nutrients to those vegetables. 

Evolution affects trees and vegetables like it affects animals. And things like rustling leaves offer good protection from predators like snakes. The sound from those leaves covers the sound of a coming predator. And that thing benefits trees.  

In that case evolution model says that natural selection favors the rustling leaves. So in that case predators and trees are cooperating. Things like fungi can transmit some kinds of signals from trees. And the thing is that the trees and vegetables can transmit information to each other. Pollen and spores can theoretically act like neurotransmitters. 

A couple of years ago researchers noticed. Trees and fungi are sending infrasound. That infrasound is suspected to be some kind of call signal to fungi or vegetables.  

But there is a small possibility that some animals. Like reptiles can hear that infrasound. Somebody suggested that the infrasound forms when trees and fungi are growing. But if animals can benefit from that sound there is the possibility that the interaction between animals and vegetables is more complicated than we expect. 

In some models, the chemical qubit is the bacteria or virus, where information is stored in DNA form. Same way pollen and spores can theoretically carry information. That can transfer to the animal's nervous system. 

The bacteria or virus can transmit information to the animal's nervous system by using electric impulses that it creates in its cilium. The fact is that we don't know much about the interactions between animals and vegetables. 

We know that some fungi and vegetables form psychoactive chemicals like psilocybin. Those psychoactive causes hallucinations. And that means that those creatures can affect to animal's nervous system. The existence of that thing is interesting. Why fungi and vegetables are making that kinds of chemicals? 

We know that there are no unnecessary species. And we know that no species make things without purpose. Why do some fungi and vegetables create hallucinogens?

Have you heard about "Metsänpeitto"? (lit. forest's cover) From Finnish folklore. 

By the way in Finnish folklore is a thing called "Metsänpeitto". There is a possibility. That fungi spore or another thing affects the nervous system and causes this phenomenon. Maybe there is some spore that creates psilocybin. 

If some kind of spore can send electric or chemical impulses to the nervous system impacts to odor coil. That thing can cause bad hallucinations. The reason why the fungus is creating psilocybin is a mystery. And we know the interaction between animals and vegetables. Along with fungi. Is more complicated than we ever imagined.

Is data handling the purpose of existence?

 

 

The eagle could be very dangerous to cavemen, who had no weapons to resist the bird. In the time of cavemen, eagles could take their children. The technical advancement of the human race turns eagles less dangerous. 

But it's still a respectable bird that can make serious injuries to its victims. Technical advancings are not turning things like lions harmless. our houses and all equipment are giving protection against those predators. But sometimes they still kill humans. 

The race between a predator and its prey requires advancing. Or otherways saying, ability to create new skills and tactics. And top of that game is the species name Homo Sapiens. And we are that species. 

Our brains are the ultimate tool, that allows us to create new tricks to hunt prey and protect ourselves. Human brains are made to solve problems and develop new solutions. Without our tools and weapons, we would be in trouble. 

But our brain's flexibility allows us to create tools and survive in a rough environment. Intelligence makes humans so powerful. Without our intelligence, we would be easy prey for things like lions.

At this point, I want to tell one example about intelligence. It's a tale about cavemen and cave lions. 

Those cavemen needed to conquer the cave where the lion lived. So they needed cooperation and communication for solving that problem. 

The cave lion is one of the species that has faced extinction. And probably the reason for that is that animals lived in caves. so let's start our tale. 

The weather in the savanna was extremely bad. And two cavemen needed to get protection from the cave. The problem was that there was a lion in that cave. The cavemen couldn't kill that lion without tools. 

So the other caveman created an idea that the other caveman will entice the lion away from the cave. And when the lion runs out, the other caveman will drop the stone to its head from above. That thing could be the first tactical plan in the history of mankind. 

Then there was the need to transmit the information on how to get cave lions out of their caves. And some cavemen draw those things to the walls of their cave. The birth of written language is coming from the need to transmit data over generations. And that was the birth of a culture.

When we are thinking carefully, evolution is one big computing or data handling process. Evolution is the race between predator and prey. When the prey is creating some new method to avoid the predator, the predator must create a new method to catch its prey.

 If a predator cannot create the new method it will not get food and get eliminated. If the prey cannot answer that challenge it will face the ultimate fate and be eliminated. The key element in the game between predator and its prey is flexibility. And the ability to create new tactics. 

Of course, if the predator turns too dominating it can destroy all other animals. So in that case, predators must learn to eat vegetables. Or they will face extinction. And then some other species can "learn" to hunt it. So when dominating species steps away. Sooner or later, another species will fill its place. 

What is the purpose of life of the human being? Is it the same with other creatures? And is handling data the purpose of the existence of creatures? When we are thinking that existence is the purpose of the creature, we can ask what guarantees that the existence of the creature continues? 

If we are saying that the purpose of living creatures is to produce descendants that thing requires that the creature's existence continues so long that it can make those descendants. And here is the reason why we can say this. that the purpose of the existence of the creatures is to handle data. 

In nature, there is always a race between predator and prey. The prey must create new methods how to avoid the predator's attack. And the predator must answer for that thing by creating a new attack method. To create new methods, species require data handling. In nature, natural selection means that. If some prey cannot avoid hunters that means extinction. And if the predator cannot reach prey it will be destroyed because of hunger. 

So when the prey creates new tactics the predator must answer to that tactics. And the top predator on Earth is humans. The thing that makes us top predators is our brains. Our brains are made for handling data. Their purpose is to create new methods to avoid hunters and protect humans against outcoming enemies. 

Human brains are very flexible and that makes them able to create tools. Without flexible brains and their ability to connect information to new entireties, we would face extinction. Without our weapons, tools, and clothes human race would be very easy food for most of the other predators. 

When we are thinking about the purpose of human brains or our mission is to create and develop new things. The purpose of the body is to protect brains and make what brains are ordering. There is a reason why I used the word "our" in the last sentence. The thing that writes this text are brains. Rest of the body that writes these words are just following commands that are coming from the neurons that are forming brains. 

The thing why the purpose of brains is to handle data is that brains must find new methods to find solutions for more complicated problems. When the human race turned more and more dominating it faced new threats. New threats need new tools. When the human's living environment expands that thing brings new challenges for humans. And human brains must give response to those challenges. 

COVID-19 has shown that the biggest threat to humans is not lions on the savanna. The biggest threats are the small tiny predators that slip into the body and destroy it from inside. Vaccines and medicines are the response to that kind of threat. 

And another big threat to humans is another human. That is one of the saddest things in our nature. Humans are the biggest threats to each other. The wars are forcing us to create new weapons, and those weapons require counter-weapons development. 

And that is the next step in evolution. That step is the evolution of the machines. 

Another name for machine evolution is development. When a machine is inefficient, it needs to be developed. In other words, the developer must give a feature to the machine, that makes it possible to complete the task. If the machine can't do its job, it's useless. This requires people to create a new machine that can do its job. 

The situation in nature is always the same. It's improved protection against an improved attacker. When some prey is creating the ultimate way to protect itself some predator will create a method of how to avoid that protection. Then the prey must create some other method to protect itself. If it cannot make that thing, it will face extinction. 

Mysterious genomes and increasing the speed of the evolution

There is one mysterious place on Earth, what is called the "Bohemian cave", and there are theories about secretive rituals and even satanism what is claimed to be the purpose of this place. The secrecy around that place is feeding theories about the purpose of that area, and one of them is the eugenics. When we are thinking about the "pure line" increasing of some quality. The use of the "pure lines" is very common with the racehorses, and that is a very unpopular thing when we are thinking the human beings. The making super-individuals is a very delicate thing in the world of science, and this is very much against religion.

 But if the purpose is to use the enriching genome material there would be two or more groups of individuals, and when we are planning to drive those lines together and create the super individual, we must say, that there would be many social problems with that kind of creatures. So where would you hide this kind of individual, if you would get that thing? There are two ways to hide those persons. One is in the middle of the middle of the sibling series. In that case, that individual would not be the eldest or youngest child.

 That protects the child from envy, what comes from siblings.  Other is deliver that individual to the children's home. But when we are thinking about the evolution, we must create super humans or super individuals in a very short period. In this case, would there create the fetuses by using in vitro fertilizing. And that would mean also simply connecting the DNA:s of those persons in the laboratory.

This allows making evolution very fast because the nanotechnology can cut the DNA and connect the other genomes to that genetic code. When the maker of this thing is satisfied, would this maker of the test just take one blastula, and suck the DNA away from the nucleus, and then replace that thing by the synthetic DNA. This thing can increase the speed of the evolution very effective way.

Increasing of the evolution is very interesting and horrifying thing, what would bring many things to our mind. In this kind of cases, we must say, that the science itself has no moral. We the people are defining, what is legal and morals. And this is a very problematic thing in the world of science. There is, of course, orders what people should do in the scientific experiments. But we know, that there are no orders about genomes. The proof about the genetic experiments is very difficult to get, and this is one of the greatest problems in legislation.

But there is another very big question about the cloning. What will the authorities do, if somebody has made the human clone? The answer would not be so simple as we are thinking. If we are thinking that we would destroy that creature after the birth would make us the Nazis. And here we must remember a thing about science. We are responsible for our actions, what is the thing, what the scientists should think. There are many opportunities in the field of biotechnology and genetics. And there are also many fears about this kind of things. The moral and ethical questions about the genetics are very complicated things. And we must understand, that we must think consequences before, we are doing something.

The modern laboratories have capacities, what we probably don't even realize. The nanotechnology allows us to create synthetic DNA, and also connect it to any sequence of the genomes. It allows us to create new intelligent species. And this is the biggest threats in history. But genome-technology is also the greatest thing in the history of mankind. We can create a new body for ourselves and transfer our memories to that body, and this thing opens new visions in the good and bad.


This is the question about science. In the medieval period, the surgery was prohibited, because patients died in that operation, but in the modern era, the surgery is the normal procedure, or do you know anybody, who died because of typhlitis, but removing this body part was very dangerous operation in the medieval period. This is the thing in science and technology. The advantage in technology and science gives us more opportunities but the same things cause new threats. This is the thing, what we must realize when we are creating new things and ideas. Every new thing has two sides, and none of the new inventions is purely good or evil.
