Quantum-dot-based cryptography. Brings. Quantum internet. Closer than ever before.

"Cover highlight of the experiment. Single photons emitted by a quantum dot embedded in a photonic device are coupled into a fiber and encoded by ‘Alice’ into three distinct time-bin qubits. After ‘Bob’ performs the decryption, a sequence of quantum keys is shared between the users. Credit: Credit: Light: Science & Applications (2026). DOI: 10.1038/s41377-026-02205-9. Quantum dot–based time-bin QKD achieves stable, long-distance secure communication with practical performance. (ScitechDaily, Quantum Breakthrough: Unhackable Keys Sent Over 120 km Using Quantum Dots)

Researchers transmitted a quantum key over 120 kilometers by using quantum dots. This is a remarkable thing. The unbreakable internet is becoming a reality. In quantum-dot-based systems, the system uses a tool. That is like a pixel camera. The receiving pixel is against the transmitting pixel.

And the transmitting side can be the net of the nano-lasers. In quantum cryptography, the system encodes information into a physical object. In a quantum dot-based transmitter, the transmitter is like a computer screen, but the regular image pixels are replaced with nanolasers.

When a quantum dot-based system transmits information. It can transmit it. As in the shape of a certain image. The image can be anything. The laser beams transmit that image to the receiver. This is one of the things that the system could do. The system. It can use different radiation frequencies. Like UV, infrared, and visible light.

Or, even X-rays. The system can use photonic solutions. Their information is stored in a single photon. Optical systems are very hard to break by using eavesdropping. The quantum system could also use coherent radio waves. Or it can use coherent acoustic waves.

The message can be shared over multiple frequencies. The system can also use spectroscopy as the encryption tool. The system can send an image of the object. But also the spectral image of the elements that form the object. This gives depth to the encryption. The key is the weakest point in the encryption. If the eavesdropper gets the key. That actor can open messages without permission. In quantum dot-based optical encryption. The eavesdropper must cut the laser beam.

That changes the geometry of the information. And the system detects that thing. The quantum dot-based communication can also use this method. That information. Or. The TCP/IP protocol. Data packages are shared between different communication lines. Then the system sends them. At the same time. Or it can change the data channel all the time. So, when the laser transmits critical information, the other beams can transmit unnecessary data. And the eavesdropper must find the beam that sends important data from meaningless data.

There is a possibility. Of using the so-called switched order to exchange keys. In that system, the system that normally receives information sends the key. The BizTalk goes like this: Transmitter: “Are you ready”? The receiver: “Yes. Here is the key”.

In some versions, there is a third party, the encryption system, or keyholder , that shares keys. To the communication system. The BizTalk begins like this: “We (System 1 and System 2) want to talk, and we need the key”. Then, the third party in the system shares the key with those participants. In that case, the third party is the keyholder. That uses different communication lines than the system that shares other information.

When the system uses quantum encryption, the problem is with the quantum keys. The system must get the quantum key to the receiver. There is a possibility. The system uses pre-installed keys. In this version, the courier transports the USB stick. That involves the key to the receiver. The system can use numbered images as the encryption keys. There are multiple ways to secure the key.

The system can use a method. The number of images that it uses will be sent from the receiver. The system involves trillions of keys. And then it selects which keys it uses. On a certain day. The selector can be the receiver. There are multiple ways to encode those numbers. One is that the system must send those numbers at a certain time. And it can use a series of marks. There, the opponent picks only remarkable numbers. Those numbers can be replaced by letters. Or some other marks.

Bitchat allows internet-free end-to-end encrypted P2P communication applications.

"Illustration of Jack Dorsey's Bitchat app enabling offline messaging through a peer-to-peer mesh network, generated by artificial intelligence." (RudeBaquette, “Jack Dorsey’s Offline Messaging Bombshell”: Bitchat Launches Peer-to-Peer App With End-to-End Encryption and Zero Tracking for Total Privacy)

Bitchat is a new tool for chatting and communicating. That application offers end-to-end encryption. P2P communication. The new application for P2P messaging and maybe, quite soon, for other data sharing uses BlueTooth for communication. The BlueTooth has its limits for communication. The range for that communication tool is the main problem, and the system requires mesh technology. That means support stations for long-range communication. The other version is to use an extra power BlueTooth device or some kind of amplifier that can increase the range of the BlueTooth. The system can use a standard radio amplifier that raises the BlueTooth power.

***************************************************

Standard BlueTooth devices have the following classes and ranges.

Device Power Class Bluetooth Range

Class-1 100 meters

Class-2 10 meters

Class-3 1 meter

***************************************************

Or a series of mobile telephones with BlueTooth capacity. BlueTooth is a common system in wireless headphones, mice, and other kinds of wireless tools. BlueTooth allows to share an internet connection and share files between devices outside the Internet. That thing makes it possible that the data can be shared outside the network. That can cause some data security problems. The BlueTooth connection requires that the other participant of the session send the access key to the other participant. And there is a possibility to cheat a person into connecting the device to the wrong system. That means the system’s ID is easy to fake. Or there can be a router in a mesh station that sends all data to the network.

And if the hacker sends the fake ID to another participant using the stolen ID, that means those people can connect their devices to the hacker's computer. The problem is that the ID that the device uses can be stolen or even created by hackers. But the end-to-end encryption protects privacy against internet-based eavesdropping. This kind of system can be interesting. They can replace internet-based data transportation. But there are also weaknesses. And one of them is this.

Because there are no phone numbers, no internet, and no servers. That means those systems are hard to hack over the net. But there is a possibility of cheating the users into sending data to hackers’ devices. Or there can be a router in a mesh station that can double the data flow. And that can endanger data security. Because BlueTooth range is so short, the need to use mesh stations can endanger data security.

Why researchers are so interested in laser weapons?

Why researchers are so interested in laser weapons?

The arm race is a race between an improved attacker and an improved defender. Things like Javelin missiles have two-stage tandem warheads that send hypersonic metal beams against the target. The improved weapons require improved counteractions. One of those counteractors is a laser weapon, which can destroy incoming missiles and ammunition over long distances.

Laser weapons are the next-generation tools against grenades, drones, and low-flying aircraft. Laser weapons can also cut holes in the ship's hulls and the thing that makes laser weapons so interesting is simple. It gives also small-size crafts the ability to make fatal damage to large ships.

If a laser cuts a slit in the ship's bow that kind of damage will be fatal if the ship must run at high speed. The Ukraine war has shown how difficult is to protect targets against drones. Even simple, straight-flying drones are difficult to defend. The drone itself is an easy target but when there are coming tens or hundreds of them.

At the same time, the air defense cannot let any of them go through which means it requires lots of ammunition. And one purpose of those drones is to force the enemy to use their AA ammunition against them. The AI-based drones can take evasive actions and they are harder targets than those simple and cheap drones.

The Ukrainian surface kamikaze drones are also effective tools. They can destroy or damage large ships. The problem is that things like Russia and terrorists notice that thing, and they wish to make their own versions of that tool. Maybe in the future, those drones also can operate underwater. That gives them the ability to attack the surface and underwater at the same time.

The fact is that. Those drones can equipped with GPS-guided antitank missiles that can also be deadly against targets in the harbor area. And those kamikaze drones can attack against equipment loaded on the quay and then try to destroy ships. And that kind of target requires counter-weapons that can react very fast. And laser is suitable for that role.

The only thing that limits the number of shots is the energy supply. Laser weapons are the same tools that are used in metal factories for cutting metal plates. And that means the laser systems can just cut off the wings of flying drones.  The aircraft, equipped with a laser weapon can use that weapon against incoming missiles.

Protective laser weapons installed in high-flying platforms like stratospheric aircraft and airships can protect them against incoming missiles. The same lasers can also be used against enemy aircraft.

Lasers are also double-used tools. The same lasers, used as weapons against aircraft and ships can be used as communication tools. The thing that changes laser from a communication tool to a weapon is the power, that the laser system uses. Lasers are tools that can protect satellites against ASAT weapons. And when people talk about laser satellites or "killer satellites", they mean satellites made to destroy other satellites.

Lasers can offer communication and weapon tools against traditional missiles. But the arms race is a race between ultimate attackers and ultimate defenders.

But the problem is that missiles can also equipped with microwave warheads. In those systems, the missile carries a magnetron that sends microwaves ahead of it. That kind of electromagnetic warhead can use a windmill generator as a power supply. And then in the final moment, explosives press the battery to make high-power radiation impulse. The purpose of the electromagnetic warheads is to shut down the target's computers and destroy its electric systems.

Do woods and other vegetables communicate with each other through underground fungi?

"Scientists in the journal Nature Ecology & Evolution challenge three commonly held beliefs regarding the abilities of common mycorrhizal networks (CMNs), which are underground fungi that link the roots of multiple plants". (ScitechDaily.com/Wood-Wide Web: Do Forest Trees Really “Talk” Through Underground Fungi?)

When we talk about the communication between vegetables, fungi, and animals, we must realize that many times. Many things are oversimplified. We know that animals eat vegetables. But we forget that some vegetables eat animals. Some good-looking berries and fruits involve deadly poisons.

The purpose of those poisons is to protect the vegetable. But if somebody eats those things that animal dies. That thing brings more nutrients to those vegetables.

Evolution affects trees and vegetables like it affects animals. And things like rustling leaves offer good protection from predators like snakes. The sound from those leaves covers the sound of a coming predator. And that thing benefits trees.

In that case evolution model says that natural selection favors the rustling leaves. So in that case predators and trees are cooperating. Things like fungi can transmit some kinds of signals from trees. And the thing is that the trees and vegetables can transmit information to each other. Pollen and spores can theoretically act like neurotransmitters.

A couple of years ago researchers noticed. Trees and fungi are sending infrasound. That infrasound is suspected to be some kind of call signal to fungi or vegetables.

But there is a small possibility that some animals. Like reptiles can hear that infrasound. Somebody suggested that the infrasound forms when trees and fungi are growing. But if animals can benefit from that sound there is the possibility that the interaction between animals and vegetables is more complicated than we expect.

In some models, the chemical qubit is the bacteria or virus, where information is stored in DNA form. Same way pollen and spores can theoretically carry information. That can transfer to the animal's nervous system.

The bacteria or virus can transmit information to the animal's nervous system by using electric impulses that it creates in its cilium. The fact is that we don't know much about the interactions between animals and vegetables.

We know that some fungi and vegetables form psychoactive chemicals like psilocybin. Those psychoactive causes hallucinations. And that means that those creatures can affect to animal's nervous system. The existence of that thing is interesting. Why fungi and vegetables are making that kinds of chemicals?

We know that there are no unnecessary species. And we know that no species make things without purpose. Why do some fungi and vegetables create hallucinogens?

https://scitechdaily.com/wood-wide-web-do-forest-trees-really-talk-through-underground-fungi/

Have you heard about "Metsänpeitto"? (lit. forest's cover) From Finnish folklore.

By the way in Finnish folklore is a thing called "Metsänpeitto". There is a possibility. That fungi spore or another thing affects the nervous system and causes this phenomenon. Maybe there is some spore that creates psilocybin.

If some kind of spore can send electric or chemical impulses to the nervous system impacts to odor coil. That thing can cause bad hallucinations. The reason why the fungus is creating psilocybin is a mystery. And we know the interaction between animals and vegetables. Along with fungi. Is more complicated than we ever imagined.

What kind of thing could be the hypothetical Alien base?

Kimmo Huosionmaa

If we will meet an alien base on Earth, should we allow them to communicate with their home planet, or how we handle this hypothetical situation? We might think, that those aliens would have the technology, what we need and what we want. But the thing in this kind of case is a little bit more complicated than we expect. We have always thought that alien base would be something extraordinary looking thing, but then we must remember, that aliens might have an undercover base, what might look like normal houses.

This kind of things are very interesting to think about while looking the music videos on the bed, but I certainly hope that those things, like alien bases on Earth, are the only production of my imagination. But when we are thinking about the situation, that we would have that kind of thing on Earth, we might have little problems with those aliens.

If we would attack to that base, the situation would turn that the aliens would revenge us that attack. And when we are thinking about the aliens, we might think, that those creatures might actually be biorobots, the monkey-level creatures, what are remote-controlled from somewhere else by some kind of implanted microchips, or the net, what is put surgically on the skull. And in that case, those aliens cannot tell anything about their origin.

But if we would find the so-called intelligent alien, we would face something, what we would not able to handle. Those aliens might not have a normal immune system and the duties, what is in humans for the immune cells might be handled by nanorobots, what is very effective against bacteria. The nanorobots what are replaced the immune cells would have many benefits in compilation with normal cells.

Those miniaturized robots can allow to culture the tissues very easily because if the body would not have a natural immune defense, it would not cause rejection. In fact, the very advanced nanotechnology would close the neurons inside it, when the body of the alien would be injured. And then the nanomachine would slip those neurons out of the body. But the alien might not like us, even it looks a little bit like a human.

Those aliens might have a liquid nervous system, what can slip outside the body, and in fact, the hypothetical aliens might be symbiotic entireties, what could be forming a different kind of species, what can all be intelligent. Alien species or the extraterrestrial intelligent life forms might have the ability to share and transform the form of their bodies.

Maybe they would be like some kind of biological versions of T-1000 robot from movie Terminator 2 and they can take any form what they want. In fact, those aliens can be everything, what we can imagine. And if we would not have the evidence of the existing of those things, we can continue to imagine, what would the aliens look like. Or maybe someday that answer is given by the UFO, what lands on the roof of the United Nations headquarters.

How to communicate with aliens, if we would not know where they live?

Kimmo Huosionmaa

The problem of sending messages to humanoids is very simple, we should know where that expected civilization lives if we would like to send the message to them by using laser or microwave masers. This kind of coherent radiation would be the best way to communicate over long distances, but then we are facing the fact, that the humanoids must be in the route of that beam, and this is the major problem with the attempting to communicate with those species. And the thing is, that we haven't found another civilization yet.

This makes one of the most interesting thing about the SETI-program true, and it's the thing, what is always found the newspapers. It's the thing that somebody claims that "of course there is not another intelligent species in the universe". This is an interesting thing, to talk about. When we are thinking about the situation of science about 20 years ago, we were quite sure, that there were not another stars with planets or planets, where is liquid water in the universe. And today we have found water even from our own solar system.

Here are a couple of moons, where is found liquid water, and we have found species what doesn't need sunlight even from our own planet. Those organisms live near black smokers at the bottom of the sea, and some of those organisms can change their metabolism between aerobic and anaerobic. They can use volcanic heat to make the energy in their cells, and that makes them able to live in the absolute darkness. Maybe similar organisms would be found under the ice of Europe some other icy moon, but those life forms are not necessarily intelligent. Or there is very good change, that they are only some kind of cells.

But in fact, the bacteria could be similar to the neurons. That kind of alien would cover the entire planet, and if it has the same abilities, what the first organisms on earth had, that great nerve-network can cover the entire planet, and that species could be intelligent. Here we are thinking about the species, what lives alone on its planet. It would be totally different than we are. And the intelligence would not mean that this giant alien could have any technology.

In this case, the neuron-alien would not have spacecraft or other technology, because it's alone on its planet. That means that the alien would not have any activities. Maybe that alien seems like some kind of ants or wasps, and it would connect those bodies together when it needs intelligence. But when the feelers are pulling separately, the members of that giant alien could live alone.

This would be an interesting life form, but the problem is, that we have ever met a real alien if we are trusting the public databases. of course, we can think forever the things like, "could government deny the knowledge?".  But before we are claiming that they have aliens in the freezer, we would need to get some evidence about that thing.

And of course, there could be found the bodies, where is about 40% unknown DNA, but that doesn't mean that they are aliens. If the species live alone, it would even know about spacecraft, because if it's one very giant mass on the planet, where it's only species, that alien would not make technology. But if it would get the model of the spacecraft from somewhere, it would try to copy that thing, because, in this hypothetical scenario, the spacecraft would tell the alien, that there would be something else in the world than just being in the planet.

But if the hypothetical spacecraft would land on the planet. it would start to create its own technology in a very fast period. And it could take the bodies of other species under the control, or even control its own evolution. The renewing of single cells of that species would be extremely fast, what means that the evolution would be very fast. The cell mass would live forever, but the single members of the group would be changing extremely fast.

The plant intelligence, and the abilities, what it can give to us

https://crisisofdemocracticstates.blogspot.com/

Kimmo Huosionmaa

There are scientists, who believe that plants have some kind of intelligence, and they would communicate with the similar chemicals what neurons use to communicate together. In this scenario, the plants would change information about the threats. The problem with that communication is, that it happens with chemicals, what makes difficult to translate it. But if we sometimes can do that, would that open change to make extraordinary and more sophisticated sensors, what the human could ever imagine.

Those systems could probably communicate someday with plants, and use them as biosensors. The proof about this communication would be that sometimes we have heard that the plants would grow better if the people talks to them. In that case, for the growing plants can give the very natural explanation. They grow better because of the carbon dioxide, what comes from the mouth of the speaker would stimulate the photosynthesis and forming the sugars.

But when we are thinking about the forming of the chemicals, what the plants are using to communicate, I didn't find any information about that. In fact, there is very little information about the communication between plants, but if the chemical communication system would be true, that thing could revolutionize the information technology, and open the road to the most awesome method to make extremely high powerful computer system. In this system, the computer would communicate with those plants, like corn by using chemical communication, what bases the synthetic arbiter chemical.

In this communication, the computer would be connected to the similar gas detectors, what are using in the chemical warfare protective systems. And in theory, the similar system can allow that the computer could communicate with those plants. But if we would put this system in practice, we must open that chemical communication code, and then we could create two layer computer system. The upper layer would be the computer, what could be used for so-called fast computing, but the downed layer, where the plants are can be used as the slow computing. But when we want to create this kind of computing system, with intelligent corn plantages.

And if we could communicate with plants, we could create the warning system, what can detect any threat in the world. When scientists would try to break the chemical messages between plants, they use the methodology, where the plants are damaged, and then the detector would be used to analyze those chemicals, what are released in that process. If the chemical code can be open, that thing can be used to create the biological warning systems. In some theories, the plants can identify the threat, what is facing them.

Those things might be the technology of tomorrow, where the plants and animals can communicate with people when there would be computerized decoders with loudspeakers and some parts of the animal communication can be emulated by the human. In those cases, the signals of the animals like orcas are recorded, and the sensors will follow the behavior of those whales. That makes possible to communicate with animals, and in some cases give them some orders.

If after some signal the group would start to flee, that signal can play them if there is some kind of volcano eruption on the bottom of the sea, that the group must flee the area. And maybe in some day some of those animals can equip with EEG-transmitters, what would follow the actions on brain core and then the scientists can compile those signals with the behavior of that animal. That can open us the gate to the world of the animals and give us the new way to communicate with them.

Microwave weapons are excellent tools for affecting entire drone swarms.
