Russian intelligence uses captured web cameras as a spy tool.

“Russian intelligence services are actively compromising internet-connected security cameras across Europe to gather military intelligence, according to a new advisory from the Dutch General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD) and Military Intelligence and Security Service (MIVD). (Bitdefender, Russian hackers are hijacking internet-connected cameras to spy on NATO and Ukraine)

Russian intelligence uses internet cameras for spying on NATO and Ukraine. How effective is this kind of spying? The answer is that it depends on what those cameras see and the purpose of those operations. Those cameras can be used to locate people and their vehicles. Or the door camera. It can help agents create timetables for targeted people. Door cameras can also be used to warn agents who operate in some houses. The agent who puts surveillance equipment in a place. Benefits from those systems. Those systems. They can tell those operators when the apartment’s owner comes home.

U.S. and Israel used hacked traffic control cameras to locate Iranian leaders for air attack.

The door codes can tell if someone walks into the house. The personal door codes. They can help to map the person’s route in the house. And if spies are making a burglary in some apartment. The use of personal entry codes. It can warn those spies. Or it can act as a stand-by order for real bad boys. Hit agents need information about routes. That people use in those houses. They can use that information for kidnapping. Agents can use medical components to get information.

That they want. That information. It can be access codes to critical systems. Or access to a critical environment.

In the same way. An anti-VIP team. Can use those door cameras. And traffic control cameras to target people for elimination. And here we must realize that the AI-boosted systems. They can easily collect data about people and their routes. The system uses images from hacked cameras. And the image recognition tools can see where targeted persons are.

This kind of information. It can be useful for those attackers. But sometimes surveillance cameras can collect information from other vital objects. The security camera that sees the screen can deliver that information as effectively as some malware that infects the computer. The security systems of the house. They can also involve critical information about people’s IDs. This information allows espionage operators to gain access into the building.

The AI-based image processing tools. They can uncover even state secrets. If. Hackers can intrude on an airfield's security cameras. Those people can collect information from the aircraft and other important material. In harbours, the situation is similar. Hacked surveillance cameras. They can collect data from ships and other important things. Things that the surveillance camera sees. They determine the effect of that type of spying.

About identity thieves

Kimmo Huosionmaa

Identity thieves are very dangerous for the reputation of the corporation. One faked email address can destroy the reputation of the company for a very long time. This is the big thing, what the leaders must know, and they must follow the use and creation of the email addresses. If the wrong person would get the identity as the worker of some company,  that person will make very big damages for the reputation and business for the targeted corporation. This is the reason, why we must understand the threat, what the new kind of business culture creates. If the competitor can slip the agent inside some other corporation, that person can destroy the reputation of the company in seconds.

And this is a big problem. If the company's customer service officer would use bad language and gives answers, what is not correct in business life, that will cause trouble.  Or what do you think about the case, where the merchandise, what is ordered were not send to the customer or the officer would send wrong stuff from the warehouse?

That would be the end of the relationship. There are rumors about the cases, that some corporations have even hired professional internet cheaters or trolls for making a bad reputation for some company. In fact, the motive for destroying the reputation of some company could be revenge, because some person is divorced from the service of the corporation.

And sometimes somebody has stolen the identity of the worker of the company. In some cases the stolen mobile telephone, what is not locked have been given gate to take other persons Facebook or Linkedin account in control. If the person has been used those solutions by using the browser,  the hacker would change the password, if it is in some file in the telephone's memo.  Sometimes the workers of some company have so-called "duty accounts" what are operated by the "social media supervisors".

That kind of accounts are dangerous because the worker would probably don't even care, what the company is doing with that thing, and they have their private accounts for personal use. The problem is that if the passwords and usernames are put with the telephone by using some sellotape. If the worker feels disappointment or that person is cheated in the workplace, would happen that this person doesn't even care, if that telephone is lost. In this case, also the cleaner can take the telephone and looks at the log-in information from those sellotapes. In fact, CIA and GRU are using cleaner corporations for covert operations.

Those workers would get the keys to the office very easily, and then agents can come in, by playing cleaners. During the night time, they can photograph every document and look for every telephone, what is forgotten on the table. Also sometimes the cleaners are mistreated, and this kind of things make them good targets for intelligence recruiters. Those agents just ask them to borrow keys, and why some summer worker would care, who will take those keys, especially if the feedback has been bad? Hate makes people act against normal nature. And the intelligence officials have a good eye to locate the persons, who are so-called "willing targets" to recruitment.

Hiding identity in the network

https://kimmontaidearvioita.blogspot.com/

Kimmo Huosionmaa

Almost every day somebody would want to hide the identity because this person has been done something embarrassing on the  Internet. And somebody would make the thing, that they use those embarrassing web services only from the public places, and use the Google or Microsoft account, what they will not open in the home or workplace. Those persons would think, that nobody knows, who they are.

But those places, where the person uses the Internet, would be targeted by surveillance cameras, and then that allows that security team can look those people straight away when they notice the use of the Internet. They must just point those cameras in that area, where the user is using network services. And if there is only one laptop user at the screen, the identity of that user is very easy to find out the identity of that person.

This idea is wrong, the persons, who survey the Internet, would profile those persons by using the Data profiling, and if the account is used only in the public networks, that person might have something to hide. In the real situation, the surveillance team just sends the little cookie with some downloadable package, and this cookie would install the small program in that computer. That program would tell that some computer uses the Net when this computer would be connected to the Internet next time. And if that happens in the home, would the connection tell, who uses this computer, because the flat or house can be tracked by using normal tracking protocol.

But the case would be more complicated if the hotspot will be installed to some flat without telling that thing to the person, who lives in that apartment, and this WLAN-station can be hidden behind some furniture or inside some walls. The hackers can use that hotspot for dirty things. The data security is the race between hackers and security. In some cases could the security team get the information about the computers serial numbers, and they can track the owner of that computer by using payment- or guaranteed data, what tells, who have bought this computer and guarantee services for it.

So this means that there is no change to hide the identity in the world of the Internet. In some cases, the antivirus software, what is loaded from the wrong net site would contain the feature, that it would remove all viruses, but those Trojan horses will send every single package of that data to the hackers, who might work in private corporations or under the government surveillance.

The use of mobile telephones as the spying tool

Picture I

Use of the mobile telephones in multiple new purposes have made this thing also very effective spying tool. The mobile telephones 3D-scanning programs use the sonar system of the mobile telephone to create the 3D-models of the targeted piece. But do you know, that the similar systems can modify the mobile telephone very effectively the remote microphone and eavesdrop device, that can break privacy in any house, there is found the window? And behind that window, persons are talking about private talkings.

If some person would speak something, what is private, that kind of remote microphones and spying tools can record those talking, and the target would not notice anything. The resonance of the class can be meter also by using sonar or radar, and that resonance can change as the voice signal by using similar technology as the laser microphones use. Those mobile telephones can fly to the roof, near to the targeted window by using drones, and they can observe everything, what happens in the targeted room. If those systems are covered with new STEALTH-layers, what makes them merge in the background, like chameleons those systems would be invisible. And the active STEALTH uses the small cameras to make pictures from opposite side of the device, what makes them act like chameleons. Those drones can also equip with automatic rifles or submachine guns, and they can use to eliminate any target in the world.

And if the resolution capacity of SONAR is high enough, that system can break any privacy in the world. And the mobile telephones can be used as the eavesdropping device simply by leaving the Whatsapp or some other social media solution on and leaving the telephone in the room, and the voice inside that room would be analyzed by using computer programs. Those programs can separate speech from the back noise very effectively, and that's why even the weakest sounds can transform to normal recording.

This thing can allow that any person can record the voices behind the glass and modern mobile telephones also make photographing in the streets very unseen. That is the reason, why even the highly secret government facilities are not marked themselves by using the "photographing prohibited signs". That kind of signs are actually like red roosters for some photographers, and that's the reason why that sign is not found anywhere except near some military bases. It's impossible to control the photographing in ordinary streets. And for the better information security, those signs are not placed in the streets.
