Space Colony By Gerard K. O'Neill

One of the most fascinating things, what mankind can get hides in the pictures, what NASA has been made for the space colony. The colony would be in the cylinder-shaped space station, what rotates around it central axel. This would able to make the artificial gravitation inside that structure, what is made for giving the mankind ability to live life on Earth during the spaceflight.

That kind of extreme large structures can be launched to space by using normal rockets. In this case, the material could be mylar-type plastic, what would fill with air and blew its form like a balloon. In this ball or cigar-shaped space-station would be installed the airlock, and that would allow the support for the crew. The outer layer would be covered by using ceramic plates, and the nylon net would allow driving concrete layer to that space station, what might look like the pill.

But when we are thinking about extreme long space trips and the picture, what is above this text, we must understand that innocence is nice in the space technology and one of the most terrifying weapons, what mankind can ever imagine would be hidden in this picture. As you know, the weapons, what bases the stimulated emission of radiation don't need the physical structures at all, and when we are thinking about maser or laser rays, that ray can make stronger by giving it the electromagnetic radiation in the same frequency, what the ray would travel thru the tube.

When we are thinking about the situation, that in this cylinder shaped structure would be microwave transmitter in the other side, and then the microwave travels thru the cylinder, it can make stronger by using powerful electromagnetic fields, to create the death ray. The size of those weapons can be extremely big, and that's why they would give a deadly strike from the orbiter. And many things, what we are looking in the space art is easy to transfer as the weapons. This is the thing, what concerns some people in the world.
